Positions Available:

Resident Educator – OVERNIGHT

Status: Non-Exempt Part-Time 

Reports to: Program Manager 

Hours: M-Sun 9:00 pm-9:00 am 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Resident Educator for Rejuvenating Women provides residential program support for adult female survivors of human trafficking, prostitution, and addiction and implements their individualized care plans during their stay in our two-year residential program. This position also delivers and coordinates best practice trauma-informed programming and addiction recovery support, and monitors resident program adherence and progress towards goals.

COMPETENCIES:

• Confidentiality 

• Planning and organizational skills 

• Strong communication skills and crisis management skills (oral, written, electronic) 

• Working knowledge of trauma-informed best practices 

• Ability to build strong relationships with women from different backgrounds

• Comfortable adhering to boundaries and promoting accountability among residents 

• Accurate and timely record keeping and communication 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Enforce curfews, in-room policies, and lights-out policies, as well as all other program rules and policies

• Lock down the facility, including all outside doors and windows, and the staff offices

• Set indoor/outdoor overnight lighting and turn off in the morning 

• Close and lock all ground floor windows for the night 

• Set the security alarm system for the night 

• Conduct bed-checks during the night and log the results

• Turn off the security alarm and open up the house in the morning 

• Work closely with residential program team when needed to discuss resident needs or overall residential program issues, evaluation, and/or development 

• Maintains safe, caring environment that is rooted in love and empowers their healing, growth 

• Stay abreast and implement trauma-informed care best practices in all areas of programming 

• Provides administrative support for residential team 

• Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

• Caregiver or Companion Aide: 1 year preferred 

• Residential home: 1 year preferred • Ability to work flexible hours as needed 

• Mandatory drug testing, valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Resident Educator

The Resident Educator for Restored Wings provides residential program support for adult female survivors of human trafficking, prostitution, and addiction and implements their individualized care plans during their stay in our two-year residential program. This position also delivers and coordinates best practice trauma-informed programming and addiction recovery support, and monitors resident program adherence and progress towards goals.

• Provide transportation for residents during weekly programming 

• Collaborate with Program Manager and residential team to coordinate and implement case management and living skills services and assistance 

• Provide crisis management and peer-style support to residents 

• Maintain current, accurate, timely resident individual/group records, service delivery data in AccuCare 

• Coordinate resident calendar and provide transportation as needed to daily activities 

• Fill medicine boxes and manage prescription refills

• Document residential services in nonprofit software tool AccuCare 

• Work closely with residential program team when needed to discuss resident needs or overall residential program issues, evaluation, and/or development 

• Maintains safe, caring environment that is rooted in love and empowers their healing, growth 

• Stay abreast and implement trauma-informed care best practices in all areas of programming 

• Provides administrative support for residential team 

• Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager

• Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred 

• Caregiver or Companion Aide: 1 year preferred

• Residential home: 1 year preferred 

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed

• Mandatory drug testing, valid driver’s license and clean driving record
